Use your own key
  1. Open omdbapi.com/apikey.aspx, choose FREE (1,000 daily limit), and enter your email.
  2. Open OMDb's email and click the activation link. The key won't work until you do.
  3. Paste the key below and save it.

Your key is saved in this browser, on this device, in the same place as your comparisons. It's only used to look titles up on OMDb for you, and you can switch back to the built-in key at any time.

Adding a title uses 2 lookups (short and full plot). Titles you've added before, and saved comparisons, use none.

Your data Comparisons are saved in library.json here, with posters in the posters folder. Copy this folder to back up or move your library.
Your data Your comparisons are saved in this browser, on this device only. Clearing your browsing data deletes them, and some browsers (Safari especially) clear sites you haven't visited for a few weeks. Export a backup now and then; import it here, or on another device, to restore everything.
